FNWF Slow and Steady

Ok ... So my best laid plans survived!  I may not have got to sit down with Miss Hen as early as I'd hoped but I did get to thread up and get some blanket stitching done.

Thank you Cheryll for another lovely Friday evening stitching with friends.

  5. Miss Hen looks lovely Narelle. I was looking at your previous post & your photos. You must be devastated at the difference 12 months has made. Are you hoping things will change over winter?

My husband told me recently that Perth keeps breaking records weather wise at the moment and we have had the driest summer in a long time. Only 2mm of rain since the end of Nov and pretty much none in sight. There's been plenty up North this year though. Hopefully we will get some rain soon as the gardens are looking a bit worse for wear, although not as bad as yours.

Hope you had a great weekend. Cheers, Tracy.

  11. She's a lovely hen Narelle - is she a quilt block or a mini-quilt?

As for those 'now vs year ago' images, they are proof of how dry it's been for so long...
In my part of the world (similar area to Tracy up there) we have also just set some sad records of our own... we've not even had so much as a summer storm to wash the dust off the gardens!
