O.F.W. Spring Fever

To celebrate the first day of spring I got myself into gardening mode and managed not 1 but 2 hexies this Wednesday. My roses are also springing into bloom.

The first hexie is with my 'Peter Frankenfeld' rose.

'Just Joey' is sharing the sunlight with my second hexie.

'Blue Moon' also has a bloom soaking up the warm spring air. My white 'Iceberg' was out a few days earlier but has gone past being nice for a photo.

  5. Pretty hexies and beautiful roses! How envious I am that you're moving into the growing season, as our season here in the US is just the opposite.
As a new visitor to your blog, I went through older posts to see your hexie flowers. I love your variations and mix of colors. They'll be so pretty together.

  8. And down here in Vic we are rejoicing in azaleas, camellias, rhododendrons, bulbs of all sorts and blossoms...fruit and ornamental. But just finished planting a few roses about 2 weeks ago. They were catalog markdowns but am really looking forward to them....and yes I bought another Just Joey this year...about my third I suspect.
But I am resisting the hexies to go with them, although those look tempting.

  13. How gorgeous to match your hexie with a rose from your garden. I hacked my roses back in May and now am waiting for them to come back. Lots of leaves and hopefully lots of flowers to come.
I have lots of camelias flowering though.
