What does one do when the rain is bucketing down and work is closed? .... Stitch of course. I finished this stitchery that has been on the go a good while .... High Tea needlecase by Red Brolly
We've been fortunate to receive almost 7 inches of rain without the damage .... dams and creeks have overflowed and roads are cut so we'll just sit put for a bit .... remember if its flooded, forget it! Our emergency services are stretched helping those who are in real need, not those who only think they know best.
Love your stitchery. What a shame--forced sewing. Glad you know you got the much needed rain. People around here don't pay any attention to the "turn around, don't drown." They are always towing cars that are swept away or stalled out. Maybe they should all learn to embroidery!!!
ReplyDeleteThat is wonderful news... Lucky you....nothing here sadly....... Desperate and nothing forecast for the month even......
ReplyDeleteLove your stitchery. Glad you got the rain. Hugs,xx
ReplyDeletelovely to get that rain without damage.... and a great reason to stay indoors and sew...

Very wise of you Narelle! It makes me so cross to watch the tv at the moment, to see people doing things that a just plain ignorant, stupid & ultimately dangerous.
ReplyDeleteGreat stitching there... be safe xx
Perfect thing to do in the wet! It is simply amazing the amount of water evreywhere. Glad you are safe and sound x
ReplyDeleteWonderful to see you getting all that drenching rain - without damage! And even better to be able to then just sit inside and enjoy some stitching! The problem with crossing when water is just across the road, is that it might be too high to get back home again on the return trip! How long are you cut off? Hope you still have electricity!
ReplyDeleteLovely stitcher.
ReplyDeleteooh i love the Red Brolley girls!
