Out came the sewing machine this morning and I finished off this block for Month 2 Block 3 of 'Because I Said So' BOM. "If the wind changes your face will stay like that" ... yep I used that one on my kids too.
Both my grandmother - who lived next door to us on our farm - and my mother said this to us. I've said it to my kids. Another favourite from my Irish Grandmother was that if you did anything wrong, you would have to "unpick it with your nose in purgatory" before you could get into heaven. I loved the imagery that one brought up!!
yes it was said to me as a kid and i said it to mine, lol.
ReplyDeleteThere is a lovely childrens book that my aunt bought for my boys about when the wind did change! It was hilarious. I must fish it out.

ReplyDeleteLove the layout of your block, and the fabrics Narelle! 8-)
Hope you had a great weekend!
Very nice, I love the colors.. I've heard of the saying, but it hasn't been used in our family... probably because they are Dutch!
