Strippy Scrappy Sunday

After laying low all week with a yukky bug that kept my nose running like a tap (and atleast 2 boxes of tissues later) ... I finally felt like playing with some fabric over the weekend.

Yesterday I finished pressing and cutting jellyroll strip pairs into 4.5" squares.  Then today was the fun? part of laying them out and trying to follow the design.  As it was a mystery quilt I'm happy to just go with how it has turned out with the fabric choices made considering  the jelly roll has been in my stash for some years and I still love the colours.

After a late lunch I joined in with Kim's Scrappy Sunday and opened my birthday gift that's been waiting patiently since last month :) I'm planning on giving my scrap shoeboxes a good going through.

When I headed outside to shut the chooks in for the evening I had to dash back inside for the camera to share this beautiful Autumn Sunset.

Happy Sunday
